The weather outside is frightful. Yep it truly is. Ice & snow everywhere, I've never seen it so bad. People are going mad for salt & grit & there's none to be found any where. Worst of all, our heatings packed up. But it's okay the EON man can come to fix it, on Saturday!! Whaat? Saturday, so for 2 days we've had no heating. On the plus side, the kids have slept at Nannan & Grandads but on the minus side, IT'S BLOODY COLD!!! Makes the frozen pipe outside seem like a very minor problem that we also had yesterday. So all in all, yesterday was a bad day. Luckily for us, we've got some heaters, which have been a God send. I've carried them round from room to room and so far it's been not too bad. Let's just hope the very nice EON man can fix it and has available parts on his nice van.
So what else has been on the agenda so far?
Oh yes, the diet has started. So far, so good. All in all I've worked out that I want to lose 2 stone and 11 pounds to get me down to my DESIRED weight. Desired being the operative word here. I've managed to control my eating, resisted chocolate and I've not had a drink of alcohol since New Years Eve! Well done me! That's 8 whole days without a drink. No wonder I'm shaking. But to be honest I don't think I've missed it that much, purely cos I've drunk so much over christmas that it's just nice to have tea and water! Tomorrow is the "W" day, which means weigh in day. Me and him indoors have got a race on. The first one to lose a stone gets a prize. (It's a kebab(kidding)) the prize we came up with or rather him indoors came up with, was that we could take a Sunday and do nothing. That's right. Absolutely nothing at all. Not lift a finger or see to the kids. So another normal day for Mr M then eh?
On the exercise side, well we've not been able to get out to do outside exercise, but me and the kids put the Wii on this afternoon and we've managed to shake our bootys to the "Just Dance" game. Actually I think I shook more than my booty but that's another subject. I just hope that I've shaken enough of my body to lose some of the pounds! Seeing Mr M dancing to Fame was the most funniest thing I've ever seen, even if he did very nearly take my lampshade out! But all in all a very good afternoon, and we didn't even feel the cold. Until we stopped.
So now, that's our over and done with, I'm under my coma blanket and I'm going to read my Marian Keyes book and hopefully sleep tight and hope the man from Eon is a God!
