What an astonishingly brave, impressive teenager she is!  For reporting that the Taliban banned schoolgirls from attending school, the Taliban shot her in the head (for which she nearly died)As if this wasn't enough, the Taliban have still expressed an intent to kill her and her father (since last October).

I see, from the above clip, that she is also being nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize too.   As she should be.  What a remarkable person she is.

Yeah, she's an amazing person and said historically to the world currently is one of 100 most important people in the world.

I don't much care for a top 100 list of most important people as it is a small minded way of looking at the world in my opinion. But still i can understand as an historian my self it is so VERY IMPORTANT to teach kids and teens and grown ups about people like Malala who is only 16 years old and has done and is doing something amazing.

Even if we could teach the wold to be that brave and amazing for 25% of that... it could make for a pretty awesome world  :)

I watched a BBC documentary about her recently. Such an inspiring girl. I wish her all the best in her future <3 I do feel for the two friends who were with her, and were also injured, during the attack. Unfortunately, they didn't get the opportunity to live in the safety of Britain and they now live with armed guards outside their homes in Pakistan, fearing being discovered by the Taliban everyday.

Just read that she has now been awarded Europe's top human rights accolade, notably the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought - by the European Parliament!  :clp:

Well deserved!  The Taliban couldn't stop this schoolgirl from going to school - they failed.

A defenceless schoolgirl triumphed over the Taliban - incredible.  I am in awe.
