Wish my garden was as level as yours, and not on a slope like mine, I have only ever bought one lawnmower, used it the day I bought it, I'd just managed to do half of my slopey garden when smoke started coming out the engine, never worked again, I have to strim my garden.

i wouldnt really call my garden level, it slopes off to one side but is ok.. sounds like you had a faulty mower to me,,, for a garden that is really uneven and hilly, you really need a hover mower.. a flymo, less work than a strimmer..

Your old lawn mower is an ickle babby at 6 years old, my Black & Decker hover mower is 25 years old this year and still in use, mind its had a few repairs along the way and on its last legs now, might get one more summer of it :)
