An experience in healing.

I suffer from Angina, not badly in fact it must be years since I had an attack..

I had a slight attack this afternoon. Enough to make me go and lie down for a while.
Feel ok now.

But I was lying there thinking of healing and wondering if I should go to doctors when I dropped off to sleep.
It wasn't a dream but thought I felt someone's hand pass over my chest,no pressure but gently.
Within a couple of mins, the pain disappeared.
Now I wonder who that was?
Spirit?

Tarot, Spirit, synchronicity

- Yesterday, 12:31 PM - 5 comments

I was given a Tarot reading some years ago, which really impressed me because of it's meaning and the following coincidences. I post it again here. What do you think?

Cindy had asked Spirit for something different and special this time, as she now knew me very well, and I needed evidence of Survival unknown to her. Part of her reading went:

“ I am given a book, Cold Comfort Farm, If you read it, you will find something very relevant to your life in it.”

I decided this was worth researching. I had not heard of the book, and neither had Cindy, whose honesty I trusted. This phrase seemed to trigger off a string of very strange coincidences, or was Spirit behind it? Again, the ambiguity which is often found in the psychic.

I found that there was a book of that name, by Stella Gibbons. It was published in 1932, and was described as the comic classic of rural life. When I bought a copy and read it through, on page 25 there was a section of a paragraph which seemed out of context with the theme of the book, which had nothing to do with the psychic.

“ Perhaps Flora would not mind using the large attic, which was now used as a meeting-room for the Orient-Star-in-the- West Society on Tuesdays, and for the Spiritist Investigator’s League on Fridays. She hoped that Flora was not a sceptic, for manifestations sometimes occurred in the attic, and even a trace of scepticism in the atmosphere of the room spoiled the conditions, and prevented phenomena, the observations of which provided the Society with such valuable evidence in favour of Survival.”

I was a sceptic, I was an investigator in to Spirit, and I was sitting in circle on Friday evenings at the time. I was thinking of getting involved in physical mediumship.

This really made me think. Assume that Cindy had never heard of, or read, the book Cold Comfort Farm, and assume that she just happened to invent the book title which actually happened to exist. The next coincidence was the passage which clearly stood out as special for me. So, an imagined book, and a lucky significance, for my evidence of Survival. There was more to come.

A little later, Cindy selected some novels at random at the Library, and found, to her astonishment, that one of them was about a television company which went to the West Country to film… ‘Cold Comfort Farm’ .

It further so happened that when Cindy and her husband visited me on New Year’s Day, a T.V. film of Cold Comfort Farm was screened.

Two years later my divorce was completed, and I told the story to my new wife. Oh, she said, the producer of that TV film was a schoolfriend, Alison Gilbey, and she actually wrote to me to tell me it was on, beforehand.

Later, we just happened to bump in to Alison Gilbey in Tescos, when she was visiting Swindon.

What was behind all this? Pure coincidence? Synchronicity? Psychic precognition?

Or could it really have been people in the Spirit World, impressing Cindy to speak the message, which meant nothing to her? They knew that I would read the book, which they had pre-selected because of the phrase which made me think. They can see a little ahead at times, and knew they could impress Cindy to select the book at the Library, that the book was going to be filmed for TV, and that I would meet and marry Joanna, a friend of the producer.

Which is the most likely explanation? It was still ambiguous, as precognition is hard to accept, but even if later events were coincidental, that does not explain why Cindy gave me the book title, in the context of trying to prove Survival to me via a reading, and the topic of Survival was in the book.

3 monthis before my mother passed over,we went to visit her in the home she was in.
Mum had a brother who had passed away several years ago. His name was Wilf.
Mum suffered from Alzeimhers and used to bring up the family in conversation often.
This day she told us Wilf had been to see her and told her he would coming to take her home.
She hated it in the home and wanted out. I reminded her that Wilf had died quite a few years ago.
She persisted and said he had told her he was coming to get her and take her away.
3 months later she passed away.
Aittle bit of proof that ,yes, someone does come for us when our time draws near.

Just a small stupid dream but rather unusual.
I was chatting with someone yesterday about not bothering to renew my Australian passport as I couldn't see myself ever travelling out there again.

I dreamed last night about standing in a queue outside a post office waiting to renew my Aussie passport..
Now what in heck did that dream mean?
Should I or shouldn't I? Renew my passport?

Physical Mediumship.

I had a very interesting talk with Jo and Norman this afternoon on the subject of Physical Mediumship.

Jo very kindly gave me a talk about this subject.
Very,very interesting subject.

After we parted company,I sat for a long period of time thinking of all the aspects of this gift.
Suddenly a thought occurred to me.

Nothing to do with the fact of PM but do you think that certain souls are chosen before birth are specially picked for this role in life?
Jo is an exceptional young lady who kept me riveted to my seat with explanations of how PM works and how she came into it.

I was absolutely fascinated by the whole subject.

What is your opinion on this subject, are certain souls picked particularly before they leave their life in Spirit to be reborn on our planet to be trained here as Physical Mediums?

Joanie

ps,Thank you,Jo for a most interesting discussion this past afternoon. :angelhug:

Enjoy. This was on the back of a calendar.
Thought you all might enjoy it.

" A mother passing her son's bedroom was astonished to see the bed was nicely made and everything picked up.
Then she saw the envelope prominently displayed on the pillow.
It was addressed 'Mum'. With the worst premonition she pcked it up and opened the envelope and read the letter with trembling hands.

"Dear Mum,
It is with great regret and sorrow that I am writing to you. I had to elope with my new girl friend because I wanted to avoid a scene with you and dad.
I've been finding real passion with Stacy and she is so nice.
but I knew you and dad would not approve of her because of her piercings, tattoos, her tight Motor cycle clothes and because she is so much older than me. But it's not only the passion,Mum. She is pregnant.

Stacy said that we will be very happy. She owns a trailor in the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter. We share a dream of having many more children.
Stacy has opened my eyes to the fact that Marijuana doesn't really hurt any one.
We'll be growing it for ourselves and trading it with the other people in the commune for all the Cocaine and Ecstasy we want.

In the mean time we'll pray that science will find a cure for Aids so Stacy can get better.
She sure deserves it!
Don't worry Mum,I am 15 and I know how to take care of myself.
Some day I am sure we will back to visit so you can get to know your many grandchildren.
Love, your son,Nicholas. xxx

P.S.
Mum,none of the above is true.
I am over at Jason's house. i just wanted to remind you that there are worse things in life than the school report that is on my desk.
I love you.

I missed a bit off.
PS.Call me when it is safe to come home. :proud:

A cab driver picks up a nun. She gets into the cab, and the cab driver won't stop staring at her.

She asks him why he is staring.

He replies: "I have a question to ask you, but I don't want to offend you".

She answers, "My son, you cannot offend me. When you're as old as I am and have been a nun as long as I have, you get a chance to see and hear just about everything. I'm sure that there's nothing you could say or ask that I would find offensive."

"Well, I've always had a fantasy to have a nun kiss me."
She responds, "Well, let's see what we can do about that. But first, you have to be single and you must be Catholic."
The cab driver is very excited and says, "Yes, I'm single and Catholic!"

"OK" the nun says. "Pull off to the side of the road, "maybe we will see what we can do."

The nun plants a whopper of a kiss on the cabbie! But when they get back on the road, the cab driver starts crying.

"My dear child," said the nun, why are you crying?"
"Forgive me, but I've sinned. I lied. I must confess, I'm married and I'm Jewish."

The nun says, "That's OK, my name is Kevin and I'm going to a Halloween party."

Dream of the Spirit world.

I had a very unusal dream last night.
I was in bed thinking of Ken and how much I miss him.

Drifted off to sleep and dreamed I was with him in this beautiful forest, trees were a magnificient shade of green like I had never seen before.
Bluebells so blue one could hardly look at them.
There were squirrels and birds who were so tame, they were coming up to us and we were feeding them.
We walked through this forest together until we came to a clearing which led to a cliff top overlooking the sea.
I have never seen such wonderful shades of blue and green in all my life.
I turned to speak to him but he was gone but I heard his voice so clearly in my mind saying 'When your time comes, this is where I will be.'
I woke up.

Bless him for staying with me when I needed him.

Direct voice

Direct voice is when voices are heard objectively from Spirit, not through a medium's voicebox. It is said that voiceboxes are formed by spirit from ectoplasm through which the spirit speaks. There are many examples in the literature. I have been given permission to post this by Jo, from her website.

I would like to share a personal experience with you all...........

As most of you will be aware already, I have been a developing PM for 3 years now, and have experienced many things in and out of the seance room, for which I feel truly blessed, however, the following experience happened recently, and I would like to share this with you all........

My father passed over 3 weeks ago, he was suffering from leukemia, and I must say he showed such courage throughout his illness, we found it agony to watch him suffer so much, unable to take his pain away from him. My father was an atheist, he absolutely refused to accept their was any form of afterlife, believing that once your dead, your dead, thats it, black hole, absolute nothing. That was ok, I knew differently, Lol.

As my father lay un-conscious in his last few days, I did begin to worry that his rejection of any belief, would cause him difficulty, all sorts of things went through my mind, even thinking at one point, that he may refuse to go where he had to go, rejecting a loved one who was their to collect him. I absolutely know of the afterlife so why these thoughts went through my head, I have no idea, however our family was to recieve ultimate proof that my worries were unfounded.

Two days before my father passed, at about 1am in the morning, I was called to my fathers bedside, my younger sister and 2 of my brothers along with my mother was there, my father had suffered a stroke bless him, after a while my mother retired to bed with us promising that we would wake her if their was any change with dad.
We had been quietly sat along the length of the bed for about 30 mins, none of us saying a word to each other, when to my left, a lady called to my father.......'Ray'.........my sister looked at me in total surprise and said I have just heard a woman, I said 'yes I did too', our brother who was sat between us acknowledged her also, then the voice came again this time from my right, she called his name again, our youngest brother who was sat near our dads feet, went a horrid colour of grey and was muttering under his breath, that although he had some belief in an afterlife, that he really didnt want to experience anything and would they please stop, bless him. Again the voice came from infront of us, my sister asked if I could see the woman, at first I couldnt but then she appeared floating above my dad, her face very close to his, I knew who it was instantly although she appeared alot younger than I had previously seen her on the earth plane, it was his mother. A moment later she called to her son again, this time using his full name 'Raymond' but also asked him to go with her, we were all transfixed, the feeling of love in the room was intoxicating, our dad who had been un-conscious for over 24 hours at this point, slowly opened his eye's, after a few seconds his eye's widened almost in astoshiment before he slowly closed them again.
She was not going to be defeated she moved to his side and started calling him again speaking into his right ear, 6 times in all she spoke, clearly audible to us all in the room, my older brother encouraged my father to go with her, reassuring him it was ok to leave.
I had to return home the following day to continue preparations for my daughters wedding which was only 4 days away. During the early hours of the following morning, my mother, and my 2 youngest sisters were at his bedside, dad opened his eye's when mum was gently kissing his forehead, he uttered 2 words to her....crossing over.......before smiling and taking his last breath.
I believe he wanted my mum to know that he knew their was an afterlife afterall.

Silver cord

User is offline
normy
- 09-05-10 07:52 - 10 comments

Sorry if this is the wrong place, but I cant find this topic elsewhere here , having found this interesting extract about a medium seeing the spirit leave the body.

We hear of the “silver cord” which connects the physical body to the astral body or ethereal double. This silver cord is infinitely elastic and maintains the connection between the two bodies during sleep, when the astral goes off on its many journeys. But at death, the silver cord breaks, allowing the ethereal double, or the spirit, to leave and journey on.

As a young man, Andrew Jackson Davis was pursuing his personal psychic development and was able to put himself into a state of trance at will. It has been reported that his psychic development allowed him, one time, to sit beside a dying woman and to observe her spirit leaving her body, in the form of the silver cord separating and departing. He recorded details of this experience in his book The Great Harmonia (1852).

Andrew Jackson Davis: The First American Prophet and Clairvoyant contains some interesting material on the 19th century medium. One chapter recounts Davis's experience in a hospital when he observed two dying men. Davis reported that he saw, clairvoyantly, the entire dying process. His description matches up pretty well with accounts collected by Robert Crookall in his books on death and dying, such as Intimations of Immortality.

Observing one of the unconscious patients, Davis wrote,
There was, at first, a broad, ribbon-shaped current arising from the epigastrium. As it ascended, it separated, and expanded into a sort of fleecy steam-cloud, about three feet above the bosom, in the air where the effulgent elements assumed the form of an inverted pyramid with a turbinate envelope, which was, by a strong psychical cord, attached to the solar ganglia, a sort of linea alba tube.

The inverted pyramidal cloud gradually assumed an oval shape externally, amid, internally, a representation of the perfect ellipse, approximating to a globular form, and with a throbbing sun-bright nucleus, which seemed like the germ-cell from which, in a few moments, the miracle would be wrought of an immediate incubation, rapidly resulting in the production of a full-formed and indescribably perfect angel man!

An illustration commissioned by Davis shows a luminous oval cloud issuing from the supine patient's midsection and head. Though two cords are shown connecting the cloud to the patient, the idea seems to be that there is only one cord (the "broad, ribbon-shaped current"), which begins at the solar plexus and then gradually moves up to the head.

Once the cloud is fully formed, the patient's spirit flows through it "with lightning rapidity and vividness," forming a full-sized replica of the patient's body, starting with the head and working downward. In the illustration this body is shown still inside the now-expanded cloud, hovering vertically over the patient in a standing position.

Before the outline of the immortal head was visible, I observed that the cloud-like appearance of the emulations, as a whole, manifested several remarkable innate movements. There were vertical motions, upward and downward; lateral motions, like an anchored balloon, from side to side; then rotatory or gyrating motions, like a spinning-top immediately before losing its momentum. These various graceful motions completely subsided, and the whole became absolutely still, when the formation had advanced sufficiently to unfold the head and bust.

It was remarkable, the perfect progressiveness manifested in each succeeding stage of development. The two men patients were leaving the earth together, with only a few feet of airy space between; yet they were as absolutely without consciousness of each other's existence as though they were departing with the earth's entire diameter between them. In reality, there was no self consciousness in either during the metamorphosis. One was being born (or, in earthly words, one was dying) about an hour in advance of the other; which interesting difference gave me, as a medical student an opportunity to classify the successive stages of the marvellous process.

Davis goes on to say that the spirit, once separated from the body, enters a bright light and emerges in a heavenly environment surrounded by departed loved ones.

dont know if this is significant or what. Just before waking up this morning I had this dream. In it I was in a house visiting a friend this person was not really a friend as such but I knew her many years ago but not seen her to speak to for about thirty years or so However I digress I happened to look out the window and I should have seen more houses but instead I was looking at this amazing mountain. The sky was so blue it was amazing and the mountain was covered with amazing flowers all different colours. It was like in HD and the colours were more vivid than I have ever seen. I remember thinking WOW I wish I had a house that looked out to that view and then I thought thats not the view. I said to my friend do you see that mountain and she said no. Next my eyes seemed to go slightly misty and when I looked out again it was what should have been the normal view ie a row of houses. I thought where did the view go and then I looked out again and the mountain was back.......the colours were amazing and so vivid it was the most beautiful view I had ever seen

What do you think was it just a dream or something else
